The Beattie Family Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that provides the following services:
We believe strongly that the greatest benefit for the development of personal, family and financial stability comes through education. The scholarships planned will have their primary emphasis for, and will include, medical or nursing school for students who have proven their capability by past educational performance, are currently enrolled in an accredited college or university but may be unable to continue or conclude their education due to current personal or family financial constraints. These scholarships will be awarded after applications, complete with financial information and past scholastic performance, have been carefully reviewed and considered against other pending applications. We will also offer limited scholarships for vocational or trade school tuition for individuals whose life and family goals include the desire to be included in skilled labor professions and whose family or financial circumstance would not allow them to pursue their education otherwise.

We also believe that for many people, the greatest opportunity for self reliance and financial security may be through self-employment. It is our intent to provide small and micro business grants to individuals referred to us through organizations such as public and private business schools, religious organizations, small business development centers, Small Business Chamber organizations and minority focused business support groups. These grants will be made available after review of applicant financial information, complete business plans and recommendations by referring organizations.
Because of personal community service and past family tragedies, we recognize the need for assistance to individuals and families struggling with the suffering in their lives after the death of an infant or child. It is our desire to provide caskets or burial costs for deceased infants or children of families who are unable to meet the financial burdens of these services. These individuals would be referred by Mortuaries and our funding limited to the wholesale cost of caskets.
Assistance requests need to come directly from a licensed mortuary. Before a mortuary can request assistance, a representative thereof needs to submit some information .
